Wash Care
Each orangchawal piece is crafted with care, and a little care in return will keep it beautiful for years to come.
Dry clean only
To preserve the fabric, finish and detailing of your piece, we recommend dry cleaning only. Please do not machine wash or hand wash.
Cleaning
- Entrust your piece to a trusted, experienced dry cleaner.
- Let them know about any embroidery, embellishments or delicate detailing before cleaning.
- Avoid bleach, stain removers and harsh chemicals.
- Dry clean only when needed, as over-cleaning can wear delicate fabrics.
Ironing and steaming
- Steam or iron on a low heat setting, on the reverse side of the fabric.
- Use a pressing cloth over embroidery or embellished areas.
- Avoid ironing directly on embellishments.
Storage
- Store in a breathable cotton garment bag. Avoid plastic covers for long periods.
- Hang on a padded or wide hanger, or fold with soft tissue paper between the folds.
- Keep in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Everyday care
- Apply perfume, deodorant and hairspray before dressing, and let them dry fully.
- Avoid contact with rough surfaces, sharp jewellery and velcro, which can snag the fabric.
- Spot clean only with the advice of a professional. Do not rub stains.
Good to know
Slight variations in colour, texture or finish are natural characteristics of handcrafted pieces and fabrics. These are part of what makes your piece unique.
